MOBILE PHONE SIM CARDS AND MEMORY CAN BE ANALYZED IN MINUTES WITH PHONEBASE 2
PhoneBase 2, the new, low cost mobile phone analysis system from Envisage Systems, now gives law enforcement agencies worldwide the capability to deliver a full report on the contents of SIM cards and phone memories, typically lists of phone numbers and associated names, recently made calls and text messages - within minutes.
Following extensive consultation with police forces and law enforcement agencies all over the world, Envisage Systems have updated the original PhoneBase system to include a Phone Memory Module that now allows data stored on the handset’s memory to be downloaded by infra red link or cable directly to a PC. Importantly, PhoneBase reads information from a SIM card or phone memory but cannot write to it, maintaining the integrity of the evidence.
According to Mike Phillips, CEO of Envisage Systems, “Mobile phones are increasingly found as part of a crime situation and may be seized by the police as a source of evidence or criminal intelligence. Getting at the contents of the phone in the shortest possible time is often vital, as is preserving the integrity of the phone and its contents for evidence. PhoneBase 2 is a unique and very affordable tool that can be valuable to every police force.”
